I want to get some kind of bow sling. I mainly want it while riding in on my mountain bike. What do you guys like to use?

I use a Safari sling while hunting, but I would never use it on a mountain bike. The only way I carry on a bicycle is strapped to my backpack. Others use handlebar mounts.
Slings on bicycles could be very damaging to your bow!

I've got a Blacks Creek Canadian pack and my bow straps right to it. Can't even tell it's there when riding. I've tried the Primos and didn't care for it much.

I bought the Primos about five years ago and works good for the hiking I do. I really like the way it covers the strings & pulleys with a cover & snaps. Has a simple shoulder strap , good for the money as I think it was $ 20.

Glad you brought up the topic. I put a lot of miles on my boots in the early archery season this year and got really tired of carrying that dang bow! There has to be a better way to comfortably carry a bow around that doesn't interfere with a quick shot opportunity that may arise. Looking forward to specific recommendations.

I thought id get a bunch of options to choose from by now
im looking for something that will fit tight to my back while biking in. I don't really care if I am able to get a quick shot, that would be nice, but not necessary. I like using a fanny pack style back pack, so strapping it to my pack doesnt work. Maybe the primos is the ticket?

So I have a buddy who has this thing on his pack. His buddy designed and patented it and its pretty slick. I'll see if I can find a pic of it. He had a bunch made, just waiting to get it on some shelves. I think I'll buy one. Its called the bowsnatcher

The Primos sling is what I use. It works good and protects your string and cables. You can probably get if off your bow pretty quick if you get close to game when when your bow is in the sling. Maybe practice removing it quick so you are prepared.

Got my eye on this one.

Good reviews, supposedly quick to deploy, and inexpensive. Anyone used one?

I don't know the brand but I tried Smossy's because he left it in my truck like 2 years ago. I don't care for bow slings. (Smossy, come get your bow sling

Brand new here. Glad to be a part of it. I'm returning to hunting (bow and others) after a 15 year departure. Not sure what happened - life I guess.
Really like the look of the bowsnatcher deal that buglebuster posted. Based on my new experience of covering WAY more territory than I used to growing up hunting int Pennsylvania I like the idea of get the weapons out of the hands for hiking.
Buglebuster - feel free to message me if there is some way of buying one. I see a website for it but obviously in the planning stages to sell.

Have you considered the bow hooks? I have seen and used a few styles, but they all work the same. Loop it on your belt or waist belt on you pack and just let the weight of the bow keep in in place. One style allows for the bow handle to rest on the hook and the other uses the bow string. I prefer the one that uses the bow string, for it has a smaller profile and my bow is in a better position to grab. I tend not to walk or hike without my bow in hand, but when I stop to glass I can quickly and easily hang my bow at my side.

I have an eberlestock mini-me hydration pack that you can attach their butt bucket to and a strap that holds the bow. Unclip and pull bow free, works fair to good. Also have kuiu 1850 icon with bow holder that is essentially the same as other one. Just a sling probably won't be as secure or not quick to deploy. Attach to pack would carry best
