Homemade PVC Blind

This is a blind that I am making for goose and duck hunting, its not finished yet we just painted the white PVC and when that dries we will secure camauflage burlap on the outside of it to finish it all up. I will get the finished pictures up as soon as we are done. It will be pretty awesome.

PVC blind building tip - use gray electrical pvc as it is easier to paint than white.  Looks good.

sew some grass/brush loops to the material so you can add natural vegitation to your blind so it will blend in a bit better with whatever surrounding you choose to be in.

Back in the day I learned that if you use PVC, 1" is the best sized for a blind as it doesn't break apart or sag really bad during and after the first season.  You more than likely end up adding additional natural vegetation to the blind as the birds will start to get wise to the block shaped blind unless minimal pressure is applied to the area you are hunting.

I agree with the sagging.  I would add a 't' on each side which will support the upper span and also give a place to lean stuff with a cross bar about mid height..  Maybe figure out where guns will stand in the corners and add a piece there as well.  The nice thing with the PVC is that it is relatively easy to customize later.

Is this all glued or can it be taken apart for storage?

The only thing that isn't glued is the 4 uprights, everything else is glued together so it can be stored.

Looked into making one myself... Nice work on this! Would you mind sharing the dimensions? I'm wondering if chicken wire around the circumference with natural vegetation would work as well? Are you planning to pack it up after each hunt? Thanks for info

If you are planning packing it in and out, netting may work better than chicken wire as it rolls up and out much easier.

Without a doubt... I am just hoping to not have the netting/burlap rot off of it. I'm hesitant to build it and place it on the private property I hunt as so many others have hunting rights there... Makes it a bit less "private" as a result and I'd worry about the damned thing being stolen. Seems EZ enough to build however. Thanks for feedback

Pvc is a good temporary blind.  I have noticed however when Temps get really cold, you have to be super careful around it as it will crack and break relatively easy.  Extra support is also necessary if you want to add much to it.

The dimensions of the base square and top square are 4ft by 4ft. It is 4 ft and 2in tall where you will shoot over and the roof is 6ft high.

Thank you for the dimensions. Just purchased all of the raw materials to make my own. Probably buying mesh/grass-like outer shell and will zip tie it together. I'll post pics when finished. Thanks for the help and motivation.
