I just bought a vortex ranger 1000 rangefinder. So far I am pretty stoked on it. I have just been having so much fun estimating a range and seeing just how far off I am with my guess.

I've had mine for a few seasons now. Really like it. Only thing I've noticed is a bit of a delay when ranging different things. Other than that I love it

The delay cost me a few different animals. I wasn't use to it from my old one. I kept ranging past the target and shooting high. But I got it figured out and it works good and is reliable. First year w mine.

The delay isn't something that has bothered me yet. I really like the feature where you can range continuously. Seems like that would be useful in an elk herd situation.
