Appointed by the Commission.  Not that that is an improvement mind you.

What makes this different is that the guys at the center of this are all law enforcement officers in-charge of many more law enforcement officers.  I have always believed that those in law enforcement should be held to a higher standard, but these guys aren't being held accountable at all.

This may explain a few things. Found this in an article on the Idaho Wolf Issue:

http://tomremington.com/2015/03/27/...oners-inherited-is-not-wildlife-conservation/

Particularly this portion at the end of the article-

There was no mention in the Permit of a plan being drafted. In fact a state wolf plan was not approved by the Idaho Legislature until 7-1/2 years later. Yet instead of admitting it violated Idaho law in its Timeline, IDFG blames the legislature and, by inference, the minority members of the Wolf Oversight Committee for the fact that it did not get to manage wolves sooner.

Even after Conley was forced to resign, given six months severance pay and hired as Director of the Missouri Conservation Dept., his co-conspirators in IDFG continued to sacrifice elk and deer to protect wolves and promote non-consumptive wildlife recreation. During the past nine years 11 IDFG Department heads, including Ex-Deputy Director Jim Unsworth and Sharon Kiefer, have taken a special nine-month course including two weeks at the FWS MAT training center in Shepherdstown W. Va.

They are now part of an elite national team of NCLI Fellows you will read about in The Outdoorsman.

It may well be that he is a plant, whose bosses are somewhere other than Olympia, who is here to facilitate an agenda. Who knows.

I wouldn't put any faith in any garbage printed by Floridian Tom Remington...the guy is clueless.

Unsworth is not a plant and there is no conspiracy...maybe politics...and maybe unknowns.  I too am disappointed he has not fired some officers from wdfw.

One major thing wrong with this theory; nobody in state government can keep a secret.
No conspiracy here, just corruption, laziness, and incompetence

Thanks, but it's just common-sense.  Who can anyone make a living, enforcing the rules, when they break the rules so freely themselves.  It makes me sick.  At a time when LE officers already have enough people criticizing their every steps, now we have inept and corrupt leadership with no accountability.

A lot of new material has just been posted on www.wdfwinvestigation.com   I think everyone will be shocked by how bad it has gotten, yet there have been no changes made to the wdfw enforcement administration what-so-ever. Check the "Hot off the press" section.

I am working with a couple of media folks right now, but they move almost as slowly as Director Unsworth.

In the legislators email it mentioned how they really have no ability to fire Cenci, Crown, etc and it is all up to Unsworth and they have no authority over him. That's true.

But maybe it's time to penalize WDFW until action is taken. Pearson is in charge of the Natural Resource Committee, he determines which bills get a hearing, get a committee vote and move on. Maybe it's time for him to essentially kill all WDFW related bills that come to his committee. Will it hurt WDFW, sportsman, and maybe even the resource? Sure, but that seems to be the only way to get something done.

Maybe Pearson just has to hold WDFW hostage by delaying their legislation and basically telling Unsworth that nothing will change legislatively until things change in the Enforcement Program.  :twocents:

I certainly would seem to be the only possible way to force the change, which absolutely must occur; for the good of the WDFW employees, the license buyers, and the natural resources.
