Tarabochia= 27 charges 0 convictions.  1 civil rights violation.  A model of efficiency.  :dunno:

I do find it interesting that one of the deputy chiefs of the WDFW enforcement program (AKA- the F&W POLICE) used an outdoors magazine to slam his own subordinates.  If one of the officers had done so, I am certain they would be facing discipline.....unless it was a marine officer.
He knows where his followers/supporters are. The fishing groups in this state love Cenci so when he needs support he knows where to go.

I'm so disappointed that director Unsworth hasn't addressed the lack of leadership and accountability in the enforcement program. I thought with the change at the helm, we might see some improvement. Obviously to everyone following, that's not the case. This article very clearly shows the reader that Cenci is not only a poor team member (in his comments publicly denouncing subordinates), but as a leader, he's either a sociopath or narcissist, completely incapable of seeing his own contributions to the failures of the enforcement division. How incredibly revealing and discouraging.

Funny because Cenci, and a bunch of his best admin buddies, have attended the National Association of Conservation Law Enforcement Chiefs- "Leadership Academy" in West Virginia.  The tuition was $3,000 each, plus travel (two separate trips back east for each administrator sent), so it likely cost in the neighborhood of $4,500-$5,000 to send each of these guys to leadership training.

Apparently Cenci didn't take anything away from the training (maybe because he can't stop talking about himself long enough to hear from others).  I am not sure in which segment of the leadership academy they covered not publicly slamming your own officers, or putting down the work your employees do (i.e.- "nobody gives a s@#* about deer and elk"), but Cenci must have been paying about as much attention then as he was at the supervisor training/meeting in the attached photo.

Remember; as Cenci said in the Seattle Times (when discussing the Tarabochia case)-  "Just because a person wasn't convicted doesn't mean he didn't do it."

All along I thought that was exactly what being exonerated of charges meant.  I learn something everyday.

Yep, but I can't believe any sportsmen (fishermen or hunters) support him, when he so publicly displays his prejudice towards wildlife enforcement.  I am no longer a saltwater fisherman (living in Spokane), but I still support the west-side fishermen whenever I can.

You are correct.  I have often wondered if Unsworth even has a pulse, he moves so slowly.

Replacing Anderson with him was certainly a lateral move.

I have to disagree.  Unsworth is at least heading in the right direction, just very slowly.  He at least got the WA State Patrol to finally conduct an investigation of some of our allegations, which is far more than Anderson ever did.  Also; Crown is gone, and I suspect Unsworth may have had something to do with that.  So, although he isn't doing things fast enough for all of us, there is hope!

As I asked earlier............anyone?

"What happened to the current Region 3 captain....retire?"

Capt. Mann Retired Last Month
Who took his place?
Pain is temporary, achieving the goal is worth it.

I didn't say it would be easy, I said it would be worth it.

The new Captain for Region 3 is Bob Weaver, a huge improvement for the region I would think.

Bigtex:  Since you seem to have the inside line on all things WDFW; in your opinion is there any chance Director Unsworth will actually make a decision on the enforcement chief within the next year?  Crown left in mid-June (I think) and was "temporarily" replaced by Cenci supporter Chris Anderson, who is still acting chief.  Nothing will ever improve without a different chief, and it certainly won't improve with the personnel they have in-place at present.  So, do you see any hope of WDFW getting a permanent chief who is ethical and moral, or are the officers of WDFW facing more of the same for the foreseeable future?

I like being optimistic whenever possible. You've got to remember that Unsworth is new to WA and even if he wants to make changes he needs to do it in stride so as to not turn too many people against him by acting too swiftly. I don't know what he thinks I can only guess, but I would think he wants to clean things up a bit and get the WDFW acting more in unity again. With that said, if I was him I would be making the changes slowly too.  :twocents:
