According to WDFW; in the 9 years that Cenci has been deputy chief, 13 WDFW officers resigned.  In the 9 years immediately preceding Cenci's promotion to deputy chief, only one officer resigned. How can Unsworth allow this to continue?
Actually, as I was just reminded, it has been 15 officers who have resigned since Cenci has become deputy chief, as WDFW forgot to put Czebotar and Gaston on the list of those who have resigned.
9 of those on the list were FWO 1s when they resigned. Any idea if they resigned in-lieu of termination for failing FTO?

I don't know.  I do know that at least one of them resigned before being fired, but other than that, I'm not sure.

UC,

Nope, as far as I know they haven't even set up interviews yet, which leads me to believe they will just backdoor Anderson (or some other favored son) into the position.

Sure sounds like it.

I just took a look at WDFW's 2017-19 budget request. The point of contact for Enforcement's budget request increase....Cenci. Apparently it's still okay for Cenci to be Enforcement's point of contact for everything legislative related  :dunno:

Did he give a reason?  Forced out?  Very unfortunate!

I agree w/Big Tex.  Best Capt. in the state.  Under constant attack from management.  His complaints went unanswered and seemingly disregarded.  Decided it wasn't worth it under the current management structure.  He will be a big loss.

:yeah:
And at the time of resignation he was the longest serving WDFW Captain. Now all of the Regional Captains with the exception of Anderson (maybe future Chief Anderson...) will have less than three years on as a WDFW Captain.

Wonder who the new Region 5 Captain will be... For some reason I'd have to think that Wickersham (Vancouver area Sergeant) who is a Cenci follower will be in the mix....

Could it possibly be that Unsworth is a little gun shy about putting a chief in there who would send Cenci packing because several of the commissioners(who Unsworth has to answer to) are staunch Cenci supporters?

It's possible....

Or, I'd say, that could be a good reason........but IMO it's no excuse.
We must reject the idea that every time a law's broken, society is guilty rather than the lawbreaker. It is time to restore the American precept that each individual is accountable for his actions.

All 4 were from within.  They were told that things would remain status quo (Interim Chief Anderson in charge).
