North Spokane Cow Moose Help?
« on: October 12, 2015, 06:07:51 PM »
An older gentleman out of Toledo drew a Spokane North cow moose tag and is having a tough time finding a place to hunt.  He spent last weekend over there and said everyone pointed him toward Blanchard Road, but that there were four wheelers, target shooters and weekend warriors everywhere.  Wondered if any of you locals might be willing to offer him some direction on places to go hike in behind a gate and go look for a cow moose without all the pressure?  He's older, but indicated he could hike in behind a gate OK.

If anybody's willing, you can PM me your contact information and I'll pass along to him.

Thanks!
Sam

I have the same tag. I'm hearing the same info from others with the tag. I'll be headed over the end of the month for a week or so, until I get one. PM me and I'll give you my info...We can help out when we are there... Sean

I had the Any Moose last year. Filled the tag first day. There are a lot of Moose in that area. Go to Blanchard Hump and hike in behind the gate. Big pull out there. First 1/2 mile there may be target shooters. Just head up the road. All the timber draws you run into are going to hold moose. Worse case scenario, call game department in Spokane. Ask to speak to Moose biologist. They are in this area tracking moose all the time. Ran into them where I'm telling you to go. With deer season opening, use those hunters as an advantage and let them know your moose hunting. Most guys are willing to help you out.

Don't eat the tag! If you don't get into one where I sent you, or the game department doesn't help, PM me and I will do what I can to help. There are plenty of Moose in that unit!
