I have read and seen several reviews - the bullets were not very consistent with Terminal Performance.

They are not considered 'sabotless' in Idaho and I would bet they are not in Oregon either but you would need to call F&G.

Personally I would not use them - especially on elk...

Agreed with sabot in saw something on them concerning wind drift saying they have something like 3 times more drift than a comparable weighted 45 caliber bullet shot with sabot.  I have ready nearly every article that ready wakeman had ever wrote and he said they worked good on paper but performance on game I have not heard or seen.  But why go with something just as expensive and not nearly as proven as something like a sabot and 45 cal all copper that's what I'll be using from now on.  Barnes T EZ line is what i will likely be switching to next season but I believe the Remington premier accutip is the same thing but possibly cheaper.  Bloodlines and hornady XTP mags will also be in the running.  I personally have never been a fan of ballistic tips for anything so I might just go the way of bloodlines or the XTP.

I put one clean thru a whitetail last week and had to chase it. And use another. Not impressed. 100 grains pyrodex.

Mark where was your deer hit with the first shot that didn't put it down?  And was it the 270 gr all copper out the 350 gr lead federal?  BTW I used the FPB suffered same results deer running away because the FPB poked a hole and came out the other side without expanding.  It hit the dirt so hard after passing through said deer left a large dust cloud was clearly seen from 100 yards away.  Over penetrating unerexpansion I will not be using the FPB on deer sized game again.

What is FPB ? Im using the copper 270 gr Federal because they are accurate and load easily but I havnt hit an animal with one yet.Sabots are a pain to load in my gun but if these Federals are bad wtf !?

always judge something with your own eyes and experience and not word of mouth. They shot great for me when I tested them out. Some say they explode, some say they dont expand at all. They say the same things for powerbelts but we all know how that goes on these forums

I hit the deer in the diaphragm. Not an excellent shot. It did knock him down hard for about 20 seconds. It was the all copper 270. It could have been a better shot I will admit. But clean thru. Both entrance and exit holes appeared the same size.

Same with my hit with the FPB hit in the diaphragm is just a soft spot.  I think for deer get something that opens real fast XTP mag is gonna be the bullet for me from my last shoot session they shot great and being a wide open hollow point I doubt that I will have any issues with them expanding.  If you can't sent get a bullet and sabot combo to load well in your gun there are many variations in sabots so if I was having that problem I would experiment a little more with the size plastic your using.
