My kids first duck, Is gonna cost me.
« on: September 24, 2007, 03:42:16 PM »
Darn nice way to start off your first hunting season. He missed him at 20 and smoked him at 40. I seen the woody's jump and he missed them at 20 yards and then a pair of mallards jumped up after the shot  and headed out the same way the woody's did and i was watching the mallards now at 20 yards  and my son shoots again and says I got one. Both mallards are still in the air so  I look my left and at 40 yards a i see what i consider a pretty nice trophy falling to the ground. The second picture is of day 2 with Johnsc6's son they had a ball.

Great photos. I think that bottom one is just as good as the top one. Meaning it might be also a good candidate for photo of the month material from my point of view.

Thanks,  Had to go back and read the rules again, wasn't sure  how many you could have in there.

Try Mike Casper in Walla Walla.  I know it's a long ways away to take it but he is well worth it in both price and quality.  Not to mention, there's a good chance he'd have it back before Christmas.  He doesn't sit on birds like most Taxidermists do while they mount the big stuff, in fact he does a lot of the birds for the other guys.
hey, where's Professor Chaos? Anyone seen him?

Nice pics. Looks like a great day in the field.
Looks like a nice pay day for you too, T-Roy. I'm sure it feels good to watch your kids be so successful. Can't wait for that.
