Thanks All.  Emma is flattered.  There are a lot of great bucks up here.  Congrats to all and best of luck in the late season if you have not tagged out yet.

Thanks for all the help and pointing us in the right direction.  This is the coolest blacktail I have ever seen (IMHO).  Dual main beam and a drop tine to top it off.  She hiked her butt off and earned every bit of this.  Congrats to Emma (12 yo) on her first buck and buck of a lifetime (Green River tag drawn with 1 point).  Truly blessed.

Good job Emma, and Dad for getting her up there.     It's going to be hard to top that one.  Your kids seem to like to get the oddballs for their first one.   :chuckle:

Far beyond the standard congratulations!!!  That is an awesome buck and the proud hunters smile does truly tell the tale!  I drew that tag (adult) last year and left empty handed, after untold effort.  Congratulations X10.  Absolutely hunt of a lifetime.

I only heard of a few of bucks that came out of Vail yesterday.  One was a monster 4 point and I watched a kid get a spike.  We saw a few deer but all the bucks were spikes.  Nothing worth shooting.   :bash:

My kid (18yo) knocked down a decent 3x3 yesterday morning. His biggest. Didn't seem to be a lot of deer activity in the area though. Kind of an interesting story on the buck. I'll try to post it later with a pic.
