Cheap Boat Cover
« on: October 18, 2015, 04:50:31 PM »
I'm tired of covering my duck boat with a tarp when I get home and the wind makes it even harder by myself.
I bought a cheap boat cover from Cabelas for about $59. Mine of for a 14 - 16' boat so by pulling it back tight, it covers my outboard too. Boat is 14'-6" by 64" beam. Has reinforced corners and front, d rings for attaching bungees and an elastic cord in the hem. I can even put it on by myself without too much trouble thanx to the elastic hem.
Thought I'd pass this along I case anyone else is in the market.

I bought one off Ebay years ago, built for my type of boat (Lowe Roughneck) fits well and travels down the road well.  Nice to get to the launch with the interior of you boat dry as well as it not filling up with rain or snow on the way home.  Came to about $100 with the trailer straps.  Does get used some so have had to re sew a couple of seams.

Sakoshooter, That cover will work nice too.
Spent most of my $$ on huntin, fishin & retrievin dogs, the rest I just pretty much wasted.

Do you remember who you bought it from?

Boatcovers4you was the seller
Bought in about 06, but some of the seams started to pull out a couple of years ago and was thinking about replacing it.  I contacted them through Ebay and asked if they still produced the cover I bought earlier.  They said they could have one ready to go and posted on Ebay in a week if I wanted one.
Fortunately, I found a guy with a commercial sewing machine who repaired the pulled seams very cheaply.
Looked on Ebay this morning and the seller has nothing listed at this time, but maybe you can contact them and ask for a price on the cover you want?
