« on: October 19, 2015, 09:36:03 PM »
well i was in the north north chelan area last weekend trying to fill my goat tag, thank you to all th people on here for the info, your info was spot on and i found goats, all the way up at the top of the world :bash:. but at least i found some, made two different stalks up after some, and whether they saw me, heard me or whatever reason, they just moved higher and higher. weather blew in sunday mid morning and blew us off the water >:(.  that i will say is the steepest nastiest country i have ever laid my feet on. well hoping to get back in a week or so and give er another go

I killed a goat in Alaska.  Sometimes when in that nasty country, you find out real quick if you enjoy that level of work.  Personally speaking, after about 3 days, I was having trouble motivating myself to climb that 3000 feet again.  Sometimes a day off to rest up is the right call.

Keep at it!
We must reject the idea that every time a law's broken, society is guilty rather than the lawbreaker. It is time to restore the American precept that each individual is accountable for his actions.

I hope you find success.  I remember in the middle of my final (successful) approach on my 2000 Wyoming goat hunt, the very clear thought that I could not imagine any reason other than a goat hunt that I would be on that terrain!
As long as we have the habitat, we can argue forever about who gets to kill what and when.  No habitat = no game.

Good luck!!
I am not opposed to golf, for I suspect it keeps armies of the unworthy from discovering deer.
