I still wouldn't use max pts on a type 9 tag.  But if you are interested in 63/64 give this guy a call http://www.hunt-in-wyoming.com/#!  He should be able to hook you up with a hunt for $3000 to $4000 if you don't need a lot of accommodations and you will mostly be hunting private land.

Type 9 is the only way to go! It is the coolest!

Bigshooter, Thanks for the info on the outfitter.

Sitting on max elk points for Wyoming and growing tired of it.
What to do what to do.

Buy a leftover tag while you wait to be drawn.  That is what I am doing and I get to hunt WY Elk and don't burn any points.

Definitely a thought.

I'm hoping to cash in points and chase bugling bulls with a stick and string.

Packing in with stock and camping would be fun, but the grizzly thing, having never really done it, I'm a little apprehensive about.

Points option again. Had one friend draw 62 and had a great hunt. Had another friend draw 54/65 and went over early with no luck and is going back when the snow flies. I'm still on the fence of what I want to do.

Hard to beat the tag your buddy have/had Id take the first over the second though.
