sons first archery bull. 6x6
« on: October 22, 2015, 01:02:29 PM »
This is the 2nd 6x6 he's killed. First with his bow. I called it in to 15 yards and he double lunged it. He was hesitant to shoot it because there was a bigger bull coming in as well, probably a 340 type bull, but I told him to make sure he shot the first 6 point that gave him a shot.

Here's a pic of the bull he shot the year before in rifle season. The pic is horrible but you can kinda see what it is.

Nice bull, congrats to both of you! Sometimes it's tough to wait for the bigger bull to show. It's a gamble for sure, you never know if the smaller one may get suspicious & blow out of there losing an opportunity at either of them, good choice was made!
