I had my string and cables replaced with winners choice in August 08 and have had no problems with them.

Good luck finding a shop around here that will take all your specs and write them down before tearing off the old strings.  Your axle to axle, brace height, and poundage are important numbers that should be replicated with the new strings.  Ask the shop tech if he's going to do that before he changes your strings and see what his face does.  Probably a big "HUH.  You want me to do what?"

Sorry to hear that Mike.  I have a good idea of who did that.  There was a kid working there that was killer with bows.  KC was his name.  There was also a guy there that didn't know squat.  When KC was gone he'd try and work on things.  My buddy went to hunter ed with that guy and he told him he didn't know squat about archery and 3 weeks later he was in the bow shop.  Go figure.

The only guy that I've had touch my bow in the last year was Rob or Rod?  Down at the lacey sportsmans.  He did a good job.

Thanks for all the input guys.  I bought my Mathews at Rainier Archery in Puyallup.  Anyone ever have problems or good experiences with them?

There was a discussion on Joe's shop awhile back.  Most of us won't go back there.  Wapitihunter spends a bunch of time there.  I'll bet he filled Joe in on the scuttle.  My guess is he will try and work towards better customer service.  So you could have a good experience now.  And I hope you do.

Hey guys, I'm sorry to hear you had a bad experience at Sportsman's Warehouse in Federal Way.  KC has gone on to join the coast guard, and I, Larry, took the lead position in April of '08.  Since then I've put together a new crew, and I don't think you will have those problems any more.  Just come in for a chat.  I think you'll be pleasantly surprised.

I would go with either winner's choice or vapor trail.

I use nothing but ProStrings on my bows, my grandkids' bows, my friends' bows and anyone that comes to my shop for new strings and cables.
I have never had a single problem with any of the ProStrings that I have put on a bow.
