Well done and your first. Ive never recovered a Barnes bullet yet four blacktails down with them.. Good choice on knives as well, I love my Havalon knives.

thanks for the comments still can't believe it happened! If I remember to I'll post a pic of the euro mount when it comes back! @wadu1 I really like the havalon knife, just gotta be ridiculously careful I sliced a finger while quartering but luckily it didn't go very deep. Also, I'm surprised I was even able to recover the bullet especially with evidence of expansion shot from 26 yards. I'm a firm believer in the Barnes TTSX now!

Great job :tup: on your first buck.  That is one thing to watch for when cutting up an animal, usually an animal is put down in the evening when you're most tired and that is when mistakes are made with knives.  We actually like wearing filet gloves to help protect your hands when boning an animal out. :twocents:
