Bird taxidermist
« on: October 26, 2015, 08:06:09 AM »
Hi guys. Looking for some help looking for a bird taxi. I previously used Nancy from Western Wings and Shelton and since she has been retired haven't found anyone. I tried Pat Bradburn at Nw wings on a rooster and not happy with how it turned out, his waterfowl is great, upland not so much. Anyways, any help would be appreciated. Would like to keep it somewhat local. I'm in South King County. Thanks.

Leon at Tri-City taxidermist does a really good job. He wins awards at shows all the time for the birds he does.
Still Life doesnt do to ad on birds either and is cheaper
But all in tri cities

Leon is a great guy and Bird taxidermist! I know Leon from doing competitions he does extremely high level bird work for his customers. Best thing to do is talk to both of them and see who suits your needs and who you have that connection with. Not saying anything is wrong with other taxi just don't know him. I know Pat as well and he is also a great bird taxi! have you expressed your thoughts with him on the bird that he done for you?

Leon has done all 8 of my birds and will get every bird in the future. He has guys make runs from the west side at the end of the season to drop off all their birds killed during season. I can post pictures of his work if you want to see to help make up your mind.

I haven't let Pat know.  I don't know, I mean, like I said his waterfowl looks really good but you should see this rooster.  I don't think there is anything he could do now anyways, I think its been about 4-5 years and they waddles look like they are 20 years old, faded, shrunk and nasty.  It's a variety of things.  I don't even display it anymore.  I don't want to say anything bad about Pat, he's  a nice guy just really disappointed.

I think I will use Leon.  I talked with him the other day and seems like a good dude and does good work.

Thanks for the input.
