Varmints

Hey all, I had a couple question about small game hunting.    Can you hunt squirrels here or no? I don't see any regulations in regards to them. Also can you hunt on any state land and us forestry lands?

If you do hunt them, make sure you are looking at hunting the "Eastern Gray Squirrel"
They have smaller ears and more rounded at the top of the ear.

The "Western Gray Squirrel" has longer ears and more square at the top of his ears.
The Western Gray squirrel is protected here in Washington State and the Eastern Gray Squirrel is not and neither is the "Fox Squirrel" which can be found down around Walla Walla area.

I recommend that you google both squirrels and look at the pictures so you know which is which to keep you out of danger from the Wildlife department.  Those boys like to write tickets.
