This type of press has been around for a long time. Made by a handful of different outfits. The Nighthawk is probably the best I have seen as it has the safest features. However, is suffers the same broken limb risk as all of them. If you get careless in using these type of presses it is very easy to break limbs. In this regard I believe these type of presses should be used as emergency in the field tools rather than every day presses. And then you want to apply just enough compression to complete the job! Not one single turn more!
When used with caution these presses are really nice to have in the truck or in your bowhunting go bag. I've been able to keep guys in camp hunting when they thought their hunt was over, because I carry something similar. Been thinking it is time to upgrade to the Nighthawk as it really is vastly superior to what I carry...and one heck of a lot safer! But for me it will be carried as an emergency repair item ONLY. One of those tools I hope to never use, but am prepared to just in case.
Last Chance EZ Green press can be found for around $400. Sometimes less! It will press most of the bows you find. The attachments for some of the extreme past parallel bows and some of the older Mathews bows are WAY too dang expensive. I have all those accessories and honestly I use them so seldom I don't know if I would ever purchase them again. I'll machine my own much better and much cheaper next time. Watch EBay, Archery Talk and the like...probably find it even cheaper
Find four friends and have each chip in a Benjamin. You'll appreciate that WAY more than some cheap gadget.
