Live pigeons

I'm looking for some live pigeons for a buddy to train his dog. Anyone know where he could buy some?

Shooters or are you wanting some homers to start a loft?

We use homers in launchers, distraction birds (think training for a late flushing bird) or in a wild flush type training scenario, hence my question. I only have a couple of shooters at the moment, probably not worth the drive, but If I get a decent amount more I'll PM you.

I'll run the idea by him. Are you selling homers? Pm me some info and I'll pass it on to him for sure.

Those I don't have extra of at the moment, though anyone that let's theirs breed or keep eggs should have young nearly ready to sell at the moment.

If ya'll need a coup, many have gotten on nicely with the Scott homer loft: http://www.dogsunlimited.com/i/1576/scott-4-x-4-universal-pigeon-house-plans.htm

I know it's another level of commitment, but it will pay spades keeping the dog in birds and helping him steady up.

I have a somewhat regular supply of scrub pigeons now if anyone wants to get some. Pick up in either Seattle (Georgetown) or Kirkland on Rose Hill. 5/25$ 10/$50 All birds are fed Purina pellets when in my care.

If you have no way to present the bird I also have lion country supply style kick boxes for $20 (Theirs are $33 plus shipping.) Bwana Bob has a couple of them and seems to be happy.

PM if interested, and give me a few days heads up if you're looking for birds.
