The slow season continues for us.  We did catch a brown weasel today in a mink set and released him.  Forgot to take a pic.  Hopefully things start to pic up soon.

That first mink looks like a good sized one.  Seems like you you have a pretty good population of mink in your area. What kind of traps do use for them, ( pan trigger, or connibear) and what do you use for bait usually?

We use both triggers.  The one in the first pic was caught with a pan trigger and the second one was caught with a connibear.  We mostly use beaver meat and sometimes we will use a whole muskrat.  You will read a lot that mink like fresh bait but I don't think it matters.  We have caught mink in traps that have 2 week old smelly beaver meat in them.  I like the trap to be 7x7x24 but we catch them in bigger and smaller also.
