Pysht youth tag help
« on: November 01, 2015, 11:45:36 AM »
My son drew a youth blacktail rut tag in the Pysht unit but we did not get the tree farm access. My fault I did not know it was limited entry.  If anyone would be willing to offer any areas where he is likely to see some deer I would appreciate it.  Trying to find some good clear cuts so we are not driving around aimlessly. This is a one time hunt for us as we do not live close and will not hunt this area again.  Thanks for any suggestions.

There is a fair amount of USFS and DNR land in the Pysht.  Check out WDFW go hunt map.  Use the Public lands layer.

Here is a suggestion as i live in the Pysht and have kids that also applied for that hunt and didnt draw.

Make better use of your sons points by applying in an area you know something about or are at least willing to make an effort to learn an area before you apply !!

Your welcome !!

That was his welcome, indeed.

I know this is the internet and everything, but that was a profoundly rude thing to put out into the world.

Good luck on your kid's hunt, Harbor hunter.
