nice looking drakes.  I hope you mounted some or have friends who tie flies.  Flank feathers on the drakes are very useful.  I saw drakes here in the late summer but by hunting season they were elsewhere.

I've never seen a pic quite like that...

Congrats!

We're each having a few mounted. Spud already has an idea but I need to do a bit of image searching on ideas.... have any suggestions for a good double mount (drake + hen)?

Looks like a good hunt.  It's been a few years since we were on a good woody hunt.

Congrats on a great hunt!  One of these days I will get a damn wood duck.  Haven't been out duck hunting in quite a while, I need to try to get out this year.

Nice hunt!  Those are great eating birds.  Probably my favorite.  I have a feeling I have a general idea where you were hunting.  Had a wood duck smack down myself a few years back...   All 5 of us got at least one mounted. Tons of fun.  Congrats

That looks like a northern New England inland limit!  Probably 90% of the ducks I shot my first few years hunting before moving west.
As long as we have the habitat, we can argue forever about who gets to kill what and when.  No habitat = no game.

One of the best waterfowl hunts I've been on.  At one point I couldn't load my gun fast enough. It was epic.
Great time with great people.

Congrats guys. That looks like a good time, and you don't see pictures like that very often.
Solid work.
