Couple Idaho bucks from last week
« on: November 02, 2015, 09:27:43 AM »
These boys are from this years Idaho hunt. Good hunt this year even though we went earlier than usual because of my late tag here in Washington. Bucks were really starting to turn on when we left. Shot the big 4-point at 412 yards after an hour long stalk and probably 1500 foot decent to get within shooting range. Second buck everyone didn't want to leave camp that morning, still sitting drinking coffee in there skivvies so I told them I was going to walk down the road and pick me up when your ready. Got 100 yards from camp and a tree was shaking back and forth a ways off the road so I did a sneak into the timber and the smaller 4x5 was standing there looking at me at 40 yards. Easiest pack job I ever had I think.

Sweet!  Did they still have the $100 off special this year for the second deer tag?

I wish they would have left it going longer like last year.  I want a second deer and elk tag but I am not paying full price.  Nice bucks BTW!
