I have Butler Creek covers on my scope, but mine are about 23 years old. I hear the newer Butler Creek covers aren't as good as the old ones.  :dunno:

What is your primary objective? Are you trying to protect the lenses from rain, sun, or damage?

The cheap rubber bikini covers are what I am using these days... Haven't had good luck with the butler creek flip ups. I haven't tried the neoprene covers though

I have a nice aluminum for the front of mine, and really like it, but the front isn't threaded so I cant put one of the nice ones on it. Im also up for suggestions. I also have a Leopold.

I looked into this a lot last year before my Alaskan float hunt. A lot of the guys up in AK (on the hunting forums anyway), recommend these scope covers. I bought one and it worked great for my float hunt. On a float hunt everything gets wet from the water splashing on the raft, way more than just a rain storm. Kept my scope dry and free from fog. My hunting partner used Butler Creek flip up covers and had fogging issues.

Wow, those are expensive. I think I'll stick with the Butler Creek caps.

go on ebay and try to get some of the old uncle mikes covers. They are the best ever. I have them for almost every scope I have.

Butler Creek is junk. I cant even keep the recoil on my 270 from killing them...and it weighs 14 pounds and has a muzzle brake.

I love the Alumina covers on my new Leupold, they are expensive but are very nice. I got them on Amazon for 80.00 with free shipping

Everyone I hunt with and including myself all have Butler Creek scope covers, never any problems with mine and they do the job just fine. If you get the correct fitting caps for your scope then you will never have any problems.
