Idaho Panhandle Waterfowl
« on: November 03, 2015, 09:41:59 AM »
I am wondering if any locals can point me in the right direction to get some duck hunting in this season.  I have been so focused on deer and elk I haven't had a chance to get into the waterfowl game since I moved here.  I grew up in hunting around the Tri Cities and would really like to get back into it over here.  There I knew where the public blinds were but I havent a clue over here.  I live in Coeur d' Alene and I have been thinking the chain lakes up the CDA river could be good.  Any input would be greatly appreciated.

One of the guys I work with hunts the Lake Pend Orielle area.  Let me see if he has some info for you.

I was thinking that as well.  I dont have a boat, yet  :chuckle:  But I think that could help open up some more opportunities.

Talked to my coworker.  He said without a boat you are pretty limited.  He said take a look at the WMA's on the Pend Orielle River between the lake and Priest River.

Pend Oreille has the best waterfowl in the region IMO. The water is pretty low this year, but PM me if you're looking for some good spots that don't require a boat.
