Hope to be washing blood from my hands with fresh snow!

Would like to find myself in a tree stand up north for a few days to see if a deer walks by, but no plans set in stone yet.

I haven't hunted the late season as much as I would like  but given the opportunity I would head north to hunt mule deer.

I would head up north but I'm not familiar with the units. So I'll probably just hunt deer in the open 300 units.

My Cabin in Elk Wa. I have the scrape drippers and food plots in full swing. Should be a great year to be in the woods with a bow! Might have a good elk opportunity near North Bend.

We will be trying to get at least 1 cow down on the west side.  Wife and i both filled our deer tags already, so we will be elk hunting Friday after turkey day and staying through the Monday.  We will hunt both weekends hard with a couple extra days as well.  Would be nice to put a cow in the freezer.  We don't necessarily need it need it, but the family keeps asking for meat so would make it more comfortable to say yes.

Out of curiosity what did you plant if your food plots? I have property in the same general area and mine did not come in very good with the lack of water this past year. I need to start over in the spring

Hoping to be off at 3:30 in stand by 4:00 and deer in truck before dark. May the deer gods be with me.

Gonna do a day trip in 101 this weekend, a day trip down in 145 the next and then I took a week off around thanksgiving to chase elk and deer, if needed.

I have White tail clover growing well; there is an irrigation system for it. The oats and the brassicas are less than I hoped for due to the lack of rain. I'll work on an enhancement to the irrigation system for the poor performing food plots for next year. It's just too hard to base your success on mother nature. I also planted chestnuts (3 years old) and apples (7 years old). They are irrigated and doing well.

I'm on the fence on weather I should take the whole week of thanksgiving off and head up north and hunt mulies by myself or just wait and head down and hunt with the rest of my hunting partners trying to fill their elk tags.
What is everyone else planning for late season?

I say head out this weekend and help me with my bear tag... then plan your trip to head north and chase the mulies.  :chuckle:

I am going to chase some mulies myself. Can't wait!
