Moose in the Entiat
« on: November 05, 2015, 12:26:32 PM »
A friend was in the Entiat last week and picked up a moose shed and while looking for the other side they ran into a bull moose feeding. Do you think the wolves are causing moose to work west seeking refuge?

That's cool. Wouldn't expect to see a moose there.

I don't think wolves have much to do with it.
From what I've heard, there is moose everywhere. They been spotted around chelan, swimming the Columbia just up river from the dam. Heck I've seen tracks in the Mad river drainage before (more towards the headwaters though)
They also been spotted I believe around lake cle elum as well

There have been moose in there for a long time, I just think they are few and far between like the elk.

Moose can cover a lot of ground, so they are just expanding their range while doing what mooses do.

Agreed, it's not always the wolves.
