Sounds good, I will for sure be up next week some time.  Hoping to make it back up tomorrow.....depends on what the wife has planned though.  :chuckle: :chuckle: 

I still think it is in the early stages of the rut and think some of the big boys will be moving in soon to hang with all the does down low.

When we past you around 4 o'clock at the top there. There had to have been 30-40 does back down to 97 without any mature bucks with any of them. Definitely just the start.

Yeah, that was the story for the whole day.  Right after we passed you we saw a small 3x3....definitely not a shooter.  Saw one buck rutting hard and got a few pics, but he was nothing special.....bigger 3x3 with eye guards 4x4.  He was chasing does and snort wheezing for about a half hour while I took pics.  Pretty cool to watch, but still not even close to a shooter.

I wasn't able to get pics of the bigger 4x4 (5x5 with eye guards) but he still was not a shooter for the first day.  I will be up next week Thursday for sure and maybe wed afternoon and Saturday.  I will keep you posted.

Went up Preston creek, seen a few deer and a small buck, then headed to Steliko and only seen a few  does before heading home.



Will be back Wednesday night and hunt to Monday  :IBCOOL: :IBCOOL: :IBCOOL:
