few more pics
« on: January 19, 2009, 11:40:20 PM »
Just a few more high country pics. Some scenery, scouting, etc. I like being up there more than anything and it's ALMOST irrelevant if I shoot anything. These are all E. WA too. And I'm not stupid enough to post pics of the actual kill sites, so don't get upset if someone recognizes a particular setting. I kick myself for not taking very many pictures over the years. Always love looking at other peoples and wish I would just take the time... Anyway, the aardvark was taken in late December off the southern flank of Mt. Stewart; if anyone was wondering.

I didn't want to shoot it but the "help" started screaming at me to "shoot, shoot" (the only English I ever heard them say). It is considered a delicacy by the locals but smelled like a sack of pungent onions to me.

Great pics again highhunter.  Love the aardvark.  Did you get a taste, or just smell?

I just got to smell it. I ate the kudu steaks and stuffed sand grouse that night instead

Man, I would have tried the aardvark, just to say I did it...

I wonder if you and I have met.  Man you look familiar and its obvious we hunt some of the same country.  I met a guy gutting out a nice three point at the bottom of  a slide chute and I had my cmap on my back coming down. I was making trip one out then had to go back for my deer.   I mentioned this site.  It had just started.  I was carrying my longbow in the modern season.......sound familiar at all....If so, don't tell these scoundrels where we were. LOL

Excellent Pictures Jared. Looks like you, Chuck and the wife get out there. It's always great to see those outdoor shots. Gets a guy jacked up during the off season.
