What is this about blue tounge?

It is transmitted by gnats.  It's a disease that kills deer - mostly whitetail.  Depending on the area, it took out a decent number of deer.  I saw quite a few that died, bedded near water.  Pretty pathetic.
Kindly do not attempt to cloud the issue with too many facts.

Ok, if I'm going to stay west does anyone have options for public land for black tail.  Also I have a tent trailer, options to camp.

Very good points made.  It would be a long drive, but I would love to hunt some open country. I Mule deer hunt normally and that is wooded areas, which is going to be the same as black tail.  The other thing is Black tail area is small especially sense werehouser has made the tree farms permit only. Don't know of much public land now down in that area.

What is this about blue tounge?

Is it just Weyerhaeuser or others also? I'd hunt the national forest or timber companies. Timber companies may be closer to home tho  :dunno: :dunno:

I am headed over to Colville tomorrow after noon for a couple of day's.It's a fun hunt i actually love the weather after hike in the cold weather it's nice to get back to the truck and have some hot soup from the thermos. :hello:
