That buck has no defining features that stick out. He's a high 20's deer with decent mass. There are a 100 deer just like him out there. So to say without a doubt that that exact buck is dead would leave me far from convinced without further verification. Hell 4 1/2 years ago his momma could have had twins and there is another out there almost identical to him. There is about 5 guys on this sight that I can think of off the top of my head that I would believe without actually seeing a pic and MM is not one of them. I AM NOT saying he doesn't know what he is talking about but I don't personally know him or his background. Are we all supposed to just believe what we read from someone we don't know now?No favor was done for steeliedrew in my mind. If anything, it only made his life worse because if it was me, I would be looking even harder for this buck. If I saw a pic or exchanged pm's and that solidified it in my mind, then that would be a favor because then I could move on to other deer. I just couldn't throw in the towel because a stranger said "he's dead". Its SITE not SIGHT

Me, I'm gonna continue to post pics and share my adventures. It kind of the whole point of social media and these forums. I love sharing and I also love looking at others success and reading their adventures. Some need to grow thicker skin I think.

There is a lot of bucks out there that could look similar. The least Mtn Muley could do is pm steelie with the area the buck was killed in so that steelie knows if 'his' buck is dead or not. If you can't do that, why post that it's dead?
And that is unfortunate.
I guess I missed the post that said where it was supposedly killed.

Problem with that is there's a lot of assumption on where this buck is from. Where it was said to have been killed is quite a few miles away from where we found him in his summer range. Not even the same unit. I know Mule deer migrate a good deal but didn't expect him to move that far that fast.
