Spokane area 1050 help
« on: November 09, 2015, 03:27:46 PM »
Well the boy got the job done on the elk this weekend and now he wants to try his luck on a doe in the Spokane area.  Any insight on where to look?  I have never hunted around this area and we are looking for something this Wednesday as he is out of school.

The only "public" land I know of in 1050 is some Inland Paper property off of Campbell and Lakeview. If you put in the leg work you should be able to fill his tag. Get off the roads. There has been a lot of off roading and stuff. If you have a Garmin and the Washington card for it, make sure you bring it. Property lines have changed a bit over the last couple years. Make sure you get a pass too. You can pick one up at Hauser Smoke Shop or Whites Boots. We saw three does on Sunday during the monsoon but couldn't connect. Good luck. Sorry I couldn't be more help.

Tons of alfalfa farms in that area. Im sure a farmer would let you take a doe if you knocked on some doors. There's always tons of does in the fields as I drive by.

Drove by there the other day and they have it closed down.  Guessing they got tired of all the dumping and people ignoring the gates.  Kind of a bummer, I was planning on biking in and hunting it this year

It's still open. There are new owners of the surrounding property.  Apparently the property lines were off and the gate wasn't on their property. Their property starts about 200 yards north of where the gate used to be. About where the road starts curving left. You can see where people are taking quads in. I checked it on my gps.
