Have heard it isn't that great straight,  but is good for flavoring in sauces, soaks, pies, etc.

There is a reason it is that cheap....    Now if you find crown apple that cheap, let me know.

My thoughts as well, but have been reading about it on a smoker/bbq fourm about using in pies, sauces, pre smoke/bbq soak for meat, etc., and it is said to be really good for that as a flavoring, so picked up a couple fifths to try out that way....figured for $5.00 a bottle, I would gamble.

I think the crown doesnt taste that good either. If you venture into canada make sure to stop at the duty free store. " tap 357" canadian rye with canadial maple syrup. .. just right if you ask me not too sweet. Still mostly a dessert sipping whiskey

Bourbon should only be flavored with 2 ice cubes per 4 oz. Anything else   Merry Christmas all
