Skagit HQ any break in Updates
« on: November 15, 2015, 04:11:37 PM »
I am consider launching at Skagit HQ this coming weekend and was courious if anyone had heard any more news about recent break ins. The tide is high in the early afternoon so wasnt going to launch until 10 maybe. I don't know if that would decrease my chance of getting broken into or not.

I prefer to head out in the day light and take my time limping out therer the first time out each season. It probably won't be much of hunt that weekend but more of a boat ride and scout of the couple spots we have marked out there. I won't leave anything in the vehicle to be stolen but it would be a long cold ride home with a busted out drivers side window.

Time for a few trail camera's.  I am sure they could figure out who it is with a few pictures.

If everyone knows its happening, why can't it be stopped? What are the donut eaters doing? Are we hand cuffed as a society.

There enough guys on here to organize a "truck sitter" each weekend?  All we need is a retired guy that is strapped to the hilt to stop this BS.  Think Eastwood on Grand Torino.  Heck, I don't even hunt up there but I'll chip in for a pot of coffee and an apple fritter to keep a parking lot monitor happy.

I wonder if the individual(s) are coming in by boat to hit the rigs.  Might have a individual(s) funding a few habits.

Thank you for the feedback. It isn't encouraging news however. I may just need to wait till I get my beater truck back home before I head up there. I would hope a crook would look at it and think  there is nothing worth taking in there....but meth/heroin is a hell of a drug.

I have the ultimate leave at HQ or Seatac vehicle - 95 Caddy with 230k miles on it.  I keep absolutely nothing in it except floor mats.  When I get back, part of me hopes it isn't broken into and the other part hopes someone stole it.  Best part is I can fit 3 dozen decoys and a full body goose and a game cart in the trunk.

That area and the lower Stilly were out of control during humpy season this year. It was a daily occurrence. I don't know why people don't set up bait vehicles? I would be happy to donate a day of my time to the cause. Nothing like a good come to Jesus moment to hopefully straighten some dirtbag out.
