Muzzleloading for small game
« on: November 16, 2015, 08:00:12 PM »
I have been an avid muzzleloader for several years but only for big game animals.

Does anyone manufacture muzzleloaders in smaller calibers, designed for smaller game animals, such as squirrel, coyote and rabbits?

TC used to make a 32 cal Seneca, I had one for a while. I might still have a maxiball and a round ball mold for it. I have some round balls I was thinking about loading 3 in a 410 shell for home defense.

I believe Traditions still does one. Dixie Gunworks has it as well as some others.

Here's a chukar I got with a T/C New Englander 12ga.  I also have a .32 T/C Cherokee and a .32 Traditions Crockett that are both fun to shoot.  I've got T/C molds for both round ball and maxi-ball for them too.  I've yet to hunt small game with them, but intend to go after rabbits or coyotes one day with them.

Thanks for the info. For those who have/do own a .32 or .36 caliber do you think it is enough gun for coyotes out to 50, maybe 75 yards?

I read some other forums about the .32 not being enough gun for yotes.
