duck/goose guide
« on: November 18, 2015, 07:16:39 PM »
Me and a few friends are thinking about going on a guided duck/goose hunt and looking for some recommendations. We do not really care if it's west or east side. We are looking for a quality hunt for both birds, would prefer green heads and Canadians but open for others as well. Who would you guys suggest and what kind of price range are we looking at? Hoping to go sometime in the next few weeks or so. Thanks.

I know the Duck Taxi guides out of Mardon and they're top notch guys.  Shelby Ross and Levi Meesberg are great and know Potholes better than anyone.  They might even take you walleye fishing too after you shoot your limits.

Thanks. Will look into them. Do they do just duck or is there some goose involved too? Anybody recommend anybody else?

Hunted with Shane Moon from North flight waterfowl last week (Nov 11) had limits and were done by 8. I was very impressed there were 10 of us. I actually put my gun down and started filming because I was just blown away.

The times I hunted with them, we got both Dicks and geese.  Purely opportunistic though, over water hunts.

Burbank goose hunt Paul's  Pond for ducks and then hit the pits for geese. They do the combo hunt you're looking for.

That's cool if you are in to that sort of thing- not my idea of a good time, but whatever keeps you going I guess... :chuckle:

Good guide here. Went a couple years ago in early November. I think about seven of us on a goose hunt and I believe we were about 2 or 3 short of limiting out by 10:30. Really nice guy. He is in the Moses Lake area.

Bill Saunders is awesome. I book at least one hunt every year with him. He is first class and finds the birds.

Eagle Lakes is another solid gold outfit.

Good luck

Either Paul Sullivan or big guns. Both will put you on birds. I am planning on booking with one of them next year to take my wife in her first duck hunt.
