When I was there (1993-1998) the dividing line was the top of the pass so you could go either way.  You would have to see if anything has changed.  On Hwy 16 on the west side of the road you will probably see some huge bull in a high fence area.  Rumors are they get $10,000 for a bull there.  Don't know for sure but love rumors.  That area along the Wyoming border has some amazing antelope hunting.  We would sit on a hill in Wyoming and glass the sage on the Utah side, then watch them bed down and put a sneak on them.  The ranchers don't care much for antelope so they usually let archers hunt there.

Honestly have to say that I think there are several units in Utah I'd look at before I chose the Wasatch Front. I think you'll find the peaks you spoke of are not where the majority of the deer and elk are: most are in the lower areas near the streams that come down and there's so much of it private that it can be very frustrating to hunt. Open areas get very heavy pressure.  Look the hunting guide over carefully. Mantis, San Juans, Unitah units have more public ground and more elk/deer with less pressure.  Just my opinion though.

Understood.  Problem is my brother doesn't know his leave dates.  That's why the extended area is appealing.  Do these other areas extended archery areas.  I'm totally open to suggestions.  If there are mature deer there I will find them.  Only need one right?!

BLR, I'm so proud of you. Doing your own research this year. Wait until you start researching multiple states and stuff starts running together. I'm looking at Idaho, Wyoming, Colorado, Utah and Arizona info all right now. My mind is going to explode.

From what I've seen BLR's mind works just fine and can handle the pressure.
