I just assumed he'd  wander out to his truck but this is a very sad ending.

So sad for sure. Thoughts and prayers with the family and all those out hunting. I had truly hoped for a better outcome, knowing the longer it took to find him the less likely it would be.

Some things to be learned here. I know most of us are sure we are indestructible in many ways, only realizing that we may have a weakness when our age or arrogance catches up with us in the form of and injury or near miss that makes us think for a few minutes. We usually get over it quickly and back to the way things were. Remember your friends and families when you are making those decisions, a hunting partner may save your life  :twocents:.
