My wife saw the story on the news the other night. She keeps pushing for me to get one of those gps beacons or something. She gets nervous every time I go hunting alone. I would have to think after reading this story, it may not be too bad of an idea. Does anyone know how long the battery life would last on one of those?

The only way to make your cell phone untrackable is to remove your battery.wonder if they can locate it if for some reason you can't turn the SOS on?
What a horrible tragedy for his family. I read they believe he fell from an 80-foot embankment. Could happen to any of us. Prayers of comfort for his family, and thanks for all the search and rescue crew. Make sure you give extra thanks for your family tomorrow!
