Hunting anywhere in the west
« on: November 23, 2015, 11:51:12 PM »
Been awhile since I've been but I wanna bag and elk or deer . Hell I just wanna see them I have now tags for both . Military obligations crept me away from it . I live in Lacey just started getting use to the gmus. Anyone need a hunting buddy or can point me in a direction . I just haven't had time to scout and I'm at work before suns up and leave after its down so weekends when I don't have my young boys is what I have to work with till next ur when they will be coming along . I also am looking for a rifle in the classified unless I get up the balls to mess with a coyote with my compound cause I wanna get on wanna of them teams . Time to make friends with some ranchers . Anyways let me know

Welcome aboard. My gut tells me your screenname will limit the number of hunting partners you will obtain. Anyways, happy hunting and thank you for your service.
If you aint hunting, you aint livin'

You know what they say about buddies, "A friends a friend, a pals a pal, but a buddy is the guy you..."  Do I hear banjos'!? :chuckle:  You should be ok unless you ask to do a canoe trip down a river or want to hunt pigs!

 :sry:

I'm not sure what is left for rifle hunting in the west.  Maybe a deer hunt in Idaho or Montana :dunno:  Seems you might be a few weeks too late for this year.  Might send Bearpaw a PM and ask him if there is any OTC rifle hunting left in the states he guides.  I can not think of any.
He asked, Do you ever give a short simple answer?  I replied, "Nope."

I remember trail hunt with my u clue years back and his 30 30 we went in jeans and and orange vest . I figured no scent soap and my rain or gortex and a lot of slow walking should do my trick . I'm not sure yet but anything beats not going at all

I was going to suggest this guy, with similar name recognition difficulties.

Good luck to you both.

I live in Lacey as well, retired Army (March of this year). I hunt a lot on base and plan on doing some Turkey hunting this Spring in Southern WA and some coyote hunting as well. Hit me up.

I'll be hunting this week in the lower TA's. I'm a tree-stand hunter though, but I might be the only tree-stand hunter to take an elk on base, ha ha..
