Unfortunately wasted to the dump. State record? If we'll ever know, wdfw.

Im not real sure about 700  The weight slip said the backhoe grossed at 60,000 lbs. I don't know of a backhoe that weighs that much. I thinking those scales are junk.

Im not real sure about 700  The weight slip said the backhoe grossed at 60,520 lbs. I don't know of a backhoe that weighs that much. I thinking those scales are junk.

I'm pretty sure that 60,000 lbs figure is the weight of the bear, the scale, the front-end loader, and the truck/trailer.  You'll notice that the TARE weight is next to it at 59,820.  The first is the weight on the way in, the TARE weight is the weight on the way out.

What a shame to think they just pitched that beauty it in the dump. It should have been mounted or the rug  tanned for display.......but hey our state will pay thousands for rainbow crosswalks :dunno:

We should put something in motion that other states do & have the meat go to food banks!! Knowing all the confiscated game meat that gets wasted makes me sick. If I had knowledge on how to get this ball rolling I would

Tough to imagine that thing really weighing 700 lbs.  The size of the head compared to the body makes me think it wasn't quite that big.  Not an expert, just a thought.
Kindly do not attempt to cloud the issue with too many facts.

A friend on the Colville Rez took me out and showed me one like that last August after I told them about a big black one I saw up on the pass.  It was brown and was.... visiting an old orchard.  It is huge.

The guy doesn't hunt, but doesn't have anything against hunting as long as nothing goes to waste.

They don't always have to be in an orchard to grow that big. This was over 7000' in the Cascades..
