Yep, Im very excited! My son Elijah, 8 years old, just passed hunters education and I will take him to Rearden for his first deer hunt. Of course Dad will have a tag to, should have a lot of meat this winter with 2 deer and a bear. Lol, I need another deep freezer.

Careful there, this can become an addiction.  I am on my second chest freezer.  By the way, they never reach empty.

I wish my freezer were never empty, that would be a wonderful problem to have. I pray for those days! :chuckle:

Here's the European skull I just finished today. I am very happy with the results. I simmered it and scraped of all of the meat. Then I degressed it in dawn dish soap and warm water for 2 days. The final step was to soak in 3% hydrogen peroxide for 40 hours. It took 8 one quart bottles to completely submerg the skull. No smell at all other than the peroxide that needs to dry. I am sooooo happy to have a nice bear skull.
