Layering Systems
« on: November 25, 2015, 12:27:24 PM »
So to start out with I spent a lot of time this year looking at coming up with a solid system for hunting at all periods of the season.  I knew that I was going to be making a significant purchase.  I just wanted to pass on what I came up with and I hope this might help a few people out there.  So as far as my research went I was looking at Cabela's, KUIU and Sitka.  I know there are a couple other companies out there such as Core4, Kryptek and First Lite; but I have to admit I did not dig into there setups to deep after looking at there main components/prices.  J=Jacket P=Pants T=Top B=Bottoms

I ended up with the Kuiu and am very pleased.  Still have a couple items I want to get but this is an starter.  Obviously things can swing on price and I whole heartedly recommend mixing and matching.  I just happen to get good deals on the items that I was looking for so I did not necessarily need to mix and match.  I have a buddy that has the Core4 baselayers and I think they are well made along with the stuff from First Lite.  And for guys on the fence I have been looking at the Teton set up from Kuiu, half the price for some nice synthetic components.
