That's good to hear, I am glad you got your pup
At least it is going to warm up for the next few days. This friggin cold is tough weather to survive in with no drinkable water. Lot of open space out here but as long as he can stay away from the coyotes (and thieves), he should be okay.

Just thought of another thing. Perhaps you could check with the Post Office see if any of the rural mail delivery folks, who work those big routes where Hoot may have been running, have seen a beagle on their rounds for the past few days? Are there rural newspaper delivery routes in the area (perhaps check with them also)?

I was out looking for Hoot last night until late. Hiking around with Annie, trying to find where he might have been. It's been a rough night, my wife was very close to Hoot. Having Annie back is a dream come true but it's so sad the way she can't stop looking for him. They were certainly a package deal and they were very bonded. She's been very shy and unmotivated.

Did you check with the vet clinics there in Medical Lake/Cheney? Often folks will drop by with found dogs.

Yeah, we're going to really hit the vets/pet stores/feed stores tonight after work.

We're all pulling for the safe return of old Hoot. Do you have feelers out at more distant animal shelters? Who knows, perhaps somebody picked him up passing through and took him to a shelter on their way farther west, south, etc.? Trying to think of what I would do if I was passing through that area and found a collarless pup. I may have picked him up and perhaps taken him to a shelter on the way home to wherever I was traveling? Just thinking out loud.
