You are hesitant to shoot a tasty young buck with cool antlers?
As long as we have the habitat, we can argue forever about who gets to kill what and when.  No habitat = no game.

There is the rub....  Even if you had hundreds of acres, there is no guarantee he will be around next year though.

Nice deer.

I'd pass and enjoy watching him.

I'd consider harvesting him when I thought the odds were he wouldn't make it another year.  Or, I'd let a first timer harvest him.

Did you get him or did he disappear?

Wait, are you telling me that there are still people in this state that respect private property?  Sounds like b.s. to me  :chuckle:

You deserve kudos for holding off.  Hunting isn't always about the kill.  A lot is how a hunter feels about the  choices they make to get to the kill.

Pretty little antlers and in my opinion as good as he will get.  Does not look like this is his first rodeo.  On a different subject, I could give you some recipes for something better than corn for your feeder

Well he gets to go another round. I'm pretty sure he is 3 years old cause I've seen him since he was a fawn I'm sure. The marks on him give me away.

I like it when the deer in the yard have some kind of mark to ID them.  Weathergirl took one, Tall Boy (he had a ripped ear), that we had seen for three or four years and he had shown up as an adult.

This one has a black spot on his rear leg that's very unique. The first year he came in as a fawn he had like 3" spikes.

If you have seen him for a few years, aren't dropping pound because the freezer is empty.  Let him grow, sounds like he has been around the area for a while.  Just don't reach out the window with an apple in your hand.
