Some nice guns there. Shame. I hope he/she gets them back.

That was a hard hit. Hope he gets them back. German Shepards / any guard dogs would have likely stopped the theft

It's unwise not to take firearms into your motel room at night.

That's gotta be a tough loss to take.  Good luck on retrieval.

Brilliant! I'll rest assured now. Thanks, Bloomberg and Paul Allen!

This was on a local FB group the night it happened.  I personally wouldn't be surprised to learn that this was staged. 'Staying' at a motel, and leaving any gun in your vehicle over night is just plain dumb.

That does seem fishy. Claim the guns were stolen and turn it in to the insurance company? Right before Christmas, just in time for buying the kids and the wife some really nice gifts.   :dunno:

His insurance is likely limited to $1000 coverage on guns unless he had excess coverage specifically for his guns.  :yike:

I live right down the road from Meridian street, it is a very busy street and lots of vehicle thefts have been reported there.  They like to target the mall and popular shopping areas around there.

http://q13fox.com/2015/12/01/thieves-steal-arsenal-of-guns-ammo-from-disabled-vet/

In the news article it says he is a disabled vet moving here from Colorado with no home. They were staying at the hotel and he was told by LaQuinta that they have a no-guns policy and he wasn't allowed to bring them in his room.

The craigslist ad he says he thinks they were stolen by someone who knew they were in his truck, I'd think police should be interviewing the hotel workers who told him about their no-gun policy. Sounds like they'd be a lead...

Sucks and hope he gets them back.
