I had a nice flock of homers but the local neighborhood cats got in a killed them. Only had one left after starting with 12. Even had some chicks hatching this summer. I'll start trapping again this spring so I hope to be ok.

So I heard a rumor...that if you get a baseball hat that say's "Research" on it, and a large salmon fishing net and a bag of popcorn, that you can go to the mall parking lot (or any parking lot where you see pigeons) in the early morning hours before too many people show up, and catch all the pigeons you want. simply throw down the popcorn while holding the net. When the birds approach just place the net over them and then pull them out by hand and put them in a box...the hat is for the one or two anti-hunters that show up...just tell them your working on a research project and testing the birds for "avian flu" (bird flu) and eventually they will be released.
