My daughter drew the Mallis, elk unit 6010 cow permit this year that runs from Dec 16-Dec 31. As the title states, I "maybe" in a pickle. I'm sure the jokes are coming for my choice of words
. Here's my pickle..... My daughter put in with my cousins daughter and they got drawn, which is great because my cousin is familiar with the unit and has friends that have family that live within the unit with a substantial amount of land that I was under the impression we were going to hunt on. Not 100% sure yet, but it's sounding like my cousins daughter and him might not be able to go out for this hunt. It may still come together, but I sure could use a backup plan if not.
We have next weekend open for this hunt for sure and will make more time if need be between all the Christmas stuff going on and a 12 year olds social life. But she really wants to make every effort in making this happen and so do I as a dad.
We would be very generous with meat and extremely grateful for any help if your familiar with this unit or know somebody with some land.
Of course I would have never put in for this unit as I know absolutely nothing about it and here I,am 5 days before the hunt finding this out.
