Even tho it won't be full time cuz I already have a full time welding job? Any info would be nice

I'm under the impression you don't need a license just for European mounts

You do if you are going to charge for them. Since you are dealing with regulated game animals, you still have to record all of the tag numbers, etc as a regular taxidermist and are subject to audit from the WDFW.

You still need to get a business license. WDFW requires you submit your Washington State
business
license info (Id number) when you submit the taxidermy license info because what you are actually purchasing through WDFW is a 'Commercial License'; even if it is part time you still have to hold a business license through the state as a Sole Proprietor and a taxidermy license. PolarBear is correct, you must hold this even if you just doing the euros. Dealing with ANY wildlife stipulates you must hold this license and maintain strict records with all wildlife and wildlife parts brought into you home/establishment. Look very closely to the rules on the WDFW site as well as the RCW's, as there is lots of 'hidden' rules that can be tricky to find...It (rules and regs) was, and still is, a learning experience for me
Best of luck.

Hmm... When I called asking, they never mentioned business license. They said I could purchase the taxidermy license through them for more, or go to a place like sportmans and pay a little less and it would be on my license kind of like a deer tag. I will have to look into it more. I don't have a business license and am probably pretty far from having it.

Yep, they will say that, but when you go into a local business to buy the license OR you apply online and print off the application it has a spot where you are supposed to put the Wa State business license info. Acquiring a business license through the state, especially a Sole Proprietor is very simple, so if you are considering the taxidermy avenue then don't let that little detail discourage you.

Yup! Just went through it, pretty simple and cheaper than I expected. Now to wait for approval. I wish I had the expenses to pay for the actual taxidermy license so I can start working!
